Changjiang Daily - changjiang.com, September 17 - on September 17, the research group of the class a strategic leading science and technology project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences "comprehensive treatment and application of water ecology in the main stream of the Yangtze River Economic Belt" and the Hydrological Bureau of the Yangtze River Commission jointly carried out three-dimensional integrated water environment and water ecology monitoring of air, space and earth in the Miaohe Peishi section of the main stream of the Three Gorges. This is one of the important contents of the construction of ecological civilization in beautiful China.

During the nodal period after the passage of the five flood peaks of the Yangtze River, scientific researchers conducted a week-long real-time dynamic monitoring of various elements such as atmosphere, water, soil and biology in the Three Gorges survey area through aerial UAV, ship borne mobile monitoring system, multi-source spectral water quality online monitoring and sky satellite remote sensing monitoring system. It collects and provides a large number of valuable hydrological and water environment monitoring data for the research and application of the water environment and water ecological monitoring system and information platform of the main stream of the Yangtze River. The implementation of the project has important application value for the comprehensive treatment of main water environment and water ecology in the Yangtze River economic belt.

The picture shows that the Three Gorges water environment monitoring center of the Yangtze River Commission used a new water quality sampler for the first time to collect sediment samples at a depth of more than 130 meters. (Photographed by He Xiaogang and correspondent Zhang Weige)
